However, the league tables would not necessarily be rewritten, as the titles could remain vacant, similar to Juventus's 2004/05 Serie A title after their scandal.

Another potential outcome is the expunging of Manchester City's league record from the specified seasons. This would alter points totals and finishing positions for other teams, but Manchester United and Liverpool would still be recognised as title winners. Interestingly, Blackpool could have avoided relegation in the 2010/11 season if City's results were removed, benefiting them at Wolves' expense.
