Mikel Arteta confirmed that Arsenal will organise a new team photograph that will include defender William Saliba, following his unexpected absence from the recently published image. Fans were left puzzled by Saliba's omission, as the club stated he was unavailable due to a medical appointment. Saliba has not yet featured this season due to a back injury but has made 184 appearances for Arsenal, which added to the intrigue surrounding his exclusion.

Arteta explained that the team photo had been attempted three times but had to be cancelled each time for various reasons. He noted that commercial obligations and the presence of individuals who had travelled specifically for the shoot contributed to the decision to proceed without Saliba. The manager expressed hope that they would be able to capture a complete team photo soon, stating, "We will have another picture with the whole family."

When asked about Saliba's feelings regarding the situation, Arteta reassured that the player was in good spirits and was taking the situation in stride. He mentioned that Saliba was aware of the affection from his teammates and was enjoying some light-hearted banter with them. Arteta confirmed that Saliba was "completely fine" with the omission and that the team would ensure he is included in the next photo.

Saliba has recently resumed training on the grass, and Arteta remarked that his recovery is progressing well. A follow-up MRI scan is scheduled for next week to assess his healing process. Arteta expressed optimism about Saliba's return, indicating that all signs have been positive so far. Additionally, he mentioned that Martin Zubimendi is in contention to return against Nottingham Forest, while Piero Hincapie is expected to be out for another week or two.

Arteta's news conference also addressed other matters, including the restructuring at the club, which will see sixty jobs cut. While he stated that he is not the right person to comment on such decisions, he acknowledged that they are necessary for the club's evolution and ambitions. Despite the challenges, Arteta maintained a light-hearted demeanour, especially regarding the photo incident, while navigating the complexities of the club's situation.
