Arsenal secured a narrow victory against Nottingham Forest with a single shot on target, courtesy of Noni Madueke's late deflected strike. The match at the City Ground saw Arsenal struggle to convert their possession into meaningful chances, and it was not until the 80th minute that they found the breakthrough. Madueke, coming off the bench, cut inside from the left and his shot deflected off Jair Cunha, leaving goalkeeper Matz Sels wrong-footed as the ball found the net.

Despite dominating possession, Arsenal failed to register any shots on target during the first half. They came close with a couple of opportunities, including a header from Kai Havertz that went wide and a set-piece effort from Gabriel that was cleared off the line by Ousmane Diomande. Nottingham Forest defended resolutely, making it difficult for Arsenal to find their rhythm and create clear-cut chances throughout the match.

Forest, under pressure to secure points, had their own opportunities to score. A notable moment came in stoppage time when Murillo made a strong solo run, curling a shot narrowly wide of the goal. Earlier, Ezri Konsa made a crucial challenge to deny Liam Delap a potential equaliser, showcasing the home side's determination to salvage a point from the match.

The result keeps Arsenal in close pursuit of Premier League leaders Manchester City, now sitting on 18 points. In contrast, Nottingham Forest's defeat deepens their woes, as they drop into the relegation zone and continue their search for their first home league goal of the season. The match highlighted the challenges both teams face as the season progresses, with Arsenal needing to improve their finishing and Forest seeking to find their scoring touch.
