West Ham secured a commanding 6-0 victory against Lincoln City at ProAmpac Stadium, capitalising on the home side's early setbacks. Lincoln faced a significant challenge when Tom Hamer received a red card just three minutes into the match. The situation worsened for the Imps as Conor McGrandles was sent off 20 minutes later, leaving them to battle with only nine players against a dominant West Ham side.

Despite being reduced to nine men, Lincoln initially held their ground, matching West Ham's intensity for the first half. The visitors came close to scoring through a corner taken by Jarrod Bowen, but Mohamadou Kante's header went wide. However, West Ham broke the deadlock just before half-time when Konstantinos Mavropanos headed in from Bowen's corner, ending Lincoln's brave resistance.

The second half saw West Ham take full control of the match. Edvin Austbo, who came on as a substitute, quickly doubled the lead with a powerful shot from inside the box. Just a minute later, Bowen added a third goal, with a scuffed shot that found its way past Lincoln's goalkeeper, George Wickens. West Ham continued to press, with Pablo and Tomas Soucek each contributing to the scoreline with goals of their own.

Lincoln's manager, Tom Shaw, acknowledged the difficult circumstances, noting that the team had shown resilience despite the red cards. He expressed frustration over not being able to compete fully and highlighted the need for improvement in their performance. Meanwhile, West Ham's head coach, Nuno Espirito Santo, praised Lincoln's effort but noted that his team improved significantly after scoring the second goal, showcasing better patience and clinical finishing as the match progressed.
