Hull City secured a dramatic 2-2 draw against Everton in a thrilling second half at the MKM Stadium, with Mohamed Belloumi coming off the bench to score the equaliser. The match started with Hull taking the lead shortly after half-time when Joe Gelhardt capitalised on a defensive error from Ainsley Maitland-Niles, chipping the ball over Jordan Pickford in the 49th minute.

Everton responded quickly, with Maitland-Niles providing a pinpoint cross for Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, who headed in the equaliser. This marked the first goal Hull conceded at home this season, following a VAR decision that ruled out an earlier goal by Brennan Johnson for offside.

Despite Everton creating several chances, including five for Thierno Barry, it was Barry who finally found the net, giving the visitors a 2-1 lead after a well-executed play involving Dewsbury-Hall. However, Hull refused to give up and soon after, Belloumi, who had been rested due to fatigue, scored with a low shot to level the match again.

Both managers expressed their thoughts post-match. Everton's David Moyes felt frustrated, believing his team should have won and highlighting a lack of performance from many players. Hull's Sergej Jakirovic, on the other hand, praised his team's mentality and resilience, noting that earning a point against an unbeaten Everton side was commendable. He acknowledged the challenges posed by Everton's tactical discipline and strong defensive play.
