Norwich suffer second consecutive 4-3 defeat as Bolton prevail

Norwich City faced their second consecutive defeat in the Sky Bet Championship, losing 4-3 to Bolton Wanderers in a thrilling match at Carrow Road. The Canaries, who suffered a similar fate against Middlesbrough the previous week, exchanged goals rapidly throughout the game. The decisive moment came from Bolton substitute Atsuki Ito, who scored midway through the second half to secure the win for the Trotters.

The match began with Norwich taking an early lead in the fifth minute. Mo Toure showcased his striking prowess with a stunning effort from just outside the area, beating Bolton goalkeeper Gavin Bazunu. However, Bolton responded quickly, equalising just three minutes later through Thierry Gale, who finished expertly after cutting inside from the left.

Norwich regained the lead in the 19th minute thanks to Ruairi McConville's header from a corner, marking his first goal for the club. Yet, Bolton continued to threaten, and they equalised again just before half-time through Gaizka Larrazabal's impressive half-volley from 20 yards after a defensive error from Norwich.

Bolton took the lead for the first time shortly after the break, with Sam Dalby chipping the ball over Norwich's goalkeeper. Norwich responded in the 61st minute when substitute Paris Maghoma assisted Jack Stacey, who scored with a shot off the far post. The back-and-forth nature of the match continued as Ito scored the winner for Bolton in the 72nd minute, sealing the victory for the visitors.
