Nottingham Forest's struggles in front of goal continued as they fell to a 2-0 defeat against Brentford, prompting frustration from their travelling supporters. The away fans expressed their discontent, chanting their disappointment as Forest failed to register a shot on target until late in the match. Brentford, meanwhile, capitalised on Forest's lack of attacking threat to secure a vital victory in their pursuit of Champions League qualification.

The opening goal came from an own goal by Nikola Milenkovic, who inadvertently diverted a cross from Dango Ouattara into his own net. This set the tone for a match where Forest struggled to create meaningful chances. Their first real opportunity came from James McAtee, who curled a shot wide from inside the box, while Ryan Yates later headed over from just four yards out, missing a golden chance to equalise.

Brentford extended their lead in the 76th minute when Igor Thiago scored with a deflected strike, following a setup from substitute Jaidon Anthony. This goal further highlighted Forest's difficulties, as they managed only one shot on target throughout the match until the 79th minute, when McAtee's weak effort was easily collected by Brentford's goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher.

With this defeat, Nottingham Forest remains the lowest scoring team in the Premier League, having netted just six goals this season. Their inability to finish chances has become a significant concern for manager Oliver Glasner, as the team continues to languish in the relegation zone. The lack of attacking prowess was evident as they wasted 14 shots before finally testing the Brentford keeper late in the game.

The result leaves Forest in a precarious position, struggling to find their form as they head into the next fixtures. Meanwhile, Brentford will look to build on this momentum as they aim to maintain their push towards the upper echelons of the Premier League table.
