Bradford City secured a place in the Carabao Cup quarter-finals for the first time since their 2013 Wembley appearance, defeating Peterborough United 2-0 at Valley Parade. The Bantams' victory came from goals by Macaulay Gillesphey and Adam Phillips, marking a significant achievement for the club. This win highlights Bradford's progress in the competition, as they aim to build on their past successes.

The match began with Peterborough's Brandon Khela missing an early opportunity, but it was Bradford who struck first. In the 13th minute, Gillesphey converted a corner taken by Callum Connolly, giving the home side an early lead. Bradford continued to press, with Jake Beesley coming close to adding a second, only to be denied by Peterborough goalkeeper Alex Bass.

Peterborough responded with increased pressure, creating several chances to equalise. Jon McCracken, Bradford's goalkeeper, made crucial saves against Owura Edwards and Vernon Masara, keeping the Bantams in front. Ethan Williams nearly levelled the score for Peterborough, hitting the crossbar just before half-time, showcasing the visitors' determination to fight back in the match.

In the second half, Phillips doubled Bradford's lead in the 67th minute, putting the home side in a strong position. He almost scored again shortly after, but his effort was cleared off the line. Despite Peterborough's attempts to get back into the game, Bradford's defence held firm, ensuring their place in the next round of the competition.
